Tell me more about the Centennial

The National Park Service turns 100 in 2016. For their Centennial Celebration they have launched a ton of activities across the full range of National Parks, from the Statue of Liberty in New York and Acadia in Maine to the Grand Canyon in Arizona and Yellowstone in Wyoming.

Their Find Your Park website can help you find nearby parks and learn more about a distant park that promises an adventure you and your family will never forget.

Featured Park Stories provides videos from Jack Steward and Colton Smith, hosts of Rock the Park; as well as Michelle Obama, the Honorary Co-Chair of the Centennial; and even Bill Nye, the science guy. Plus, you can share your own video story of your national park adventure.

Don't forget the Centennial Events section where you can find all that's going on near you or at parks across the country.

All this makes for yet one more reason to get outdoors for an adventure tailored just for you.
